A good friend of mine insisted that I see this show. After having recently heard some of his stuff online I did not appose.
This was my first time at New Earth and the place is nice, especially for a party like this.
SeaDub was hosting throughout the night with some awesome mixes. Also the live drum and bass set was great.
While we were waiting for Rusko these guys were doing some sick popping and locking right beside us, then eventually disappeared.
They then reappeared when Rusko hit the stage, wearing gold outfits and masks. They did their thing for about two songs and it was awesome.

Then it was time to turn the bass up and get crazy.

If you have not heard about Pandora yet, it is time that you check it out.

Pandora.com is a serviced based on the Music Genome Project.
I have been listening to Pandora for a few years now and it continues to get better and broader.
Today I wanted to talk about the holiday stations. Typically around this time of year one would need to either play from their own collection of holiday jams, be it CD’s, records, MP3s, etc., or they would need to tune into that one radio station in the city playing all holiday jams exclusively.
Sometimes though, especially from personal experience, this is not enough.

I was taking a look at my web page stats and saw that I had a reference from http://www.garageband.com/artist/bretphillips. As I have never set up a garageband.com account I was curious.
Many of you know that I am a musician, but just for the record, this is NOT me. I am not that Bret Phillips.
I will say this however…thank you for the link and the traffic. This is me returning the favor.
I have been debating on whether or not to post a ‘top’ albums for 2009 list, mostly due to the fact that I might indulge in posting a top albums of the decade which would require a good bit of time.
Over the past decade I have listened to 90% of the music I have ever listened to in my life. My musical pallet has sampled many a sound in that time.
This year I have also sampled a good amount of new music, some from bands I already enjoy and some from new bands that I have come to enjoy. Unfortunately some of the music I have come to love this year, was not necessarily released this year so I might just have to make that Albums of the Decade post after all.
Normally I would throw in some “key” songs for album reviews, but all of these albums are all good all the way through, so if you are going to give them a try, just go all the way. Go big or go home…
My top 5 picks are the albums that I listened to the most when I first heard them. They inspired me and played with my emotions more than the rest.

“Do you think if Friday was the weekend, and Thursday was Friday, that it would be as hard to work on Thursday as it is on Friday?”
I think it was after having seen the stream of facebook messages which all had similar meaning.
It is hard to work on Friday because once you are finished you are FREE!
Think about this. It is 11am Friday morning, and you are sitting there halfheartedly working on a not so important work project. Clicking around on the computer, reading whatever not work related websites you can access through your companies firewall. You are READY to GO! It does not matter what you plan on doing once you leave work, all that matters is that it is what YOU want to be doing.
Almost like the anxiety you get when waiting for christmas eve to end and christmas morning to be there. The same feeling you get right before the big game that you and your team have been practicing for all year. It’s the weekend, it’s your time to do whatever you want.
So I started thinking, what if you had more time to do what you want. How many days of doing whatever you want to do are fulfilling enough to warrant a feeling of going back to work?
Hence the question, “Do you think if Friday was the weekend, and Thursday was Friday, that it would be as hard to work on Thursday as it is on Friday?”
